This week we continue our Spring series for 2022, Romans Part 1 – Righteousness From God, Yay! In Romans 5:12-21 we’ll see that death came through one man – Adam, while life also came from one man – Jesus Christ. The worship theme is “Freely Given,” reflecting the truth that all we have is the free gift of God. The visual theme will be “River Flood,” reflecting the fact that Jesus rescued us from the flood of sin and death by the pure power of his sacrifice.

Zephaniah 3:14–20 Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Romans 6:20–23 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. 21But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 22But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. 23For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Colossians 2:11–15 In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. 13And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands.
