Happy New Year! This week we begin our new series for 2022, Romans Part 1 – Righteousness From God, Yay!. This week we will study Romans 1:1-6 and see that Jesus is the center of the Gospel. Our worship theme will be “Son of God and Son of Man,” and our visual theme will be flowers growing through the snow, just as the Gospel came as new life in a cold and needy world.

And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. 2Devout men buried Stephen and made great lamentation over him. 3But Saul was ravaging the church, and entering house after house, he dragged off men and women and committed them to prison.

Acts 9:20–22 And immediately he proclaimed Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is the Son of God.” 21And all who heard him were amazed and said, “Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name?
