Remembering Apollo – Video with Lee Norbraten

On July 21, 2019, during the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing we spent an evening with our good friend Lee Norbraten, who was a mission planner and technical manager at the Johnson Space Center from 1967 to his retirement in 2011. Lee saw it all, from the first Apollo flights to the moon landing to the Apollo 13 near tragedy, to Apollo 18 that never happened.

Lee’s talk focuses on the breakthroughs involved in building the flight plan for Apollo and the life stories of some of the people he knew who represent the success of the American Dream. In the Q&A time he tells us more about his own role.
