Trinity will be sending a small team (to Trinity!) for Harvey response from September 3rd to September 7th. I recently sent the following information to team members. There is still time to get involved. Contact Iva or me (Bob) if you would like to participate, even if only for a day or two.
Dear Trinity Team;
To the best of my knowledge, you’ve signed up to be on the Trinity Harvey Response Team at least some days between September 3rd and September 7th. If I’m wrong please let me know. Thanks so much for your willingness to do this. This e-mail / text gives some details, and attached to the e-mail are several forms that I need you to fill out.
The team is relatively small, so at this time I anticipate that we will be working in one or at most two homes. We may also leave a couple people behind to work in the building.
Schedule:
September 3rd (Monday, Labor Day)
Arrive 7:00 a.m. for breakfast. This is followed by devotions and, on Monday, a Safety Orientation and discussion of the work at hand. Then we’ll go to job sites for the day. Dinner will be at 6:30 and, on Monday, this will be followed by a brief time of prayer and praise.
September 4th (Tuesday)
Arrive 7:00 a.m. for breakfast (possibly earlier if you’re on breakfast crew). Devotions and dispersal to job sites. 6:30 p.m. dinner. No evening program.
September 5th (Wednesday)
Arrive 7:00 a.m. for breakfast (possibly earlier if you’re on breakfast crew). Devotions and dispersal to job sites. 6:30 p.m. dinner. No evening program.
September 6th (Thursday)
Arrive 7:00 a.m. for breakfast (possibly earlier if you’re on breakfast crew). Devotions and dispersal to job sites. 6:30 p.m. community dinner until about 8:30 p.m.
September 7th (Friday)
Arrive 7:00 a.m. for breakfast (possibly earlier if you’re on breakfast crew). Devotions and dispersal to job sites. Finish at job sites (and for the week) at around noon.
Notes:
(1) We are asking that you bring a sack lunch with you in the morning, so that we don’t have to waste space and time making our lunches.
(2) If you need to miss a day or can only come a couple of days, please let me know.
(3) Finally, I’ve attached three forms that you need to fill out for Crisis Response. The first is a skills form, where you rate yourself in various skills. The second is a liability form which gives permission for medical care, etc. It’s important! Finally, there is a photo release that allows Crisis Response (or me) to use pictures or video taken of you during the response.
If you have any questions, feel free to call, e-mail or text. Looking forward to working with y’all.
In Him
Bob
