Heart Prep for Sunday, March 18th, 2018

Pardon me for being late with heart prep this week: I’ve been up in Pennsylvania enjoying a new grand-daughter. Todd is preaching this week and the text is 2 Timothy 2:1-10, where we’ll see that we are to let the gospel motivate us to action. The visual theme will be the contrast of death and life, and the worship theme will be the praise of the one who gives new life.

Scripture for Meditation

John 6:35 “I am the bread of life,” Jesus told them. “No one who comes to Me will ever be hungry, and no one who believes in Me will ever be thirsty again.

John 6:51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread he will live forever. The bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.”

John 8:12 Then Jesus spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows Me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.”

John 10:7 So Jesus said again, “I assure you: I am the door of the sheep.”

John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”

John 10:14 “I am the good shepherd. I know My own sheep, and they know Me.”

John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me, even if he dies, will live.”

John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

John 15:1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vineyard keeper.”
