The text this week is 2 Chronicles 20:1-30, where Jehoshaphat trusts God despite the multitude coming against Judah. Todd Cobbs will be preaching on “How to Fight in the Battle,” and the worship theme is “Power and Might are in God’s Hands.” The visual theme is rock climbing – hanging on and helping each other along.

Scripture for Meditation
Exodus 14:14 The LORD will fight for you; you must be quiet.
2 Chronicles 20:15-17 And he said, “Listen carefully, all Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and King Jehoshaphat. This is what the LORD says: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast number, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 Tomorrow, go down against them. You will see them coming up the Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the valley facing the Wilderness of Jeruel. 17 You do not have to fight this ?battle?. Position yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD. ?He is? with you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Tomorrow, go out to face them, for Yahweh is with you.’”
Deuteronomy 20:1-4 “When you go out to war against your enemies and see horses, chariots, and an army larger than yours, do not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you. 2 When you are about to engage in battle, the priest is to come forward and address the army. 3 He is to say to them: ‘Listen, Israel: Today you are about to engage in battle with your enemies. Do not be cowardly. Do not be afraid, alarmed, or terrified because of them. 4 For the LORD your God is the One who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.’
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous; don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For it is the LORD your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you.”
Psalm 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom should I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom should I be afraid?
