This will be our first week in the text of Ephesians. We’ll look at Ephesians 1:1-6 and see how God is worthy of our blessing because of his blessings given to us. The worship theme will be ‘Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,” and the visual theme will be heavenly places (or at least places on earth that feel heavenly to us).

Praise Him! Praise Him! – #106
Psalm 104:1-4 Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty, 2covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent. 3He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters; he makes the clouds his chariot; he rides on the wings of the wind; 4he makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire.
Psalm 103:1-5 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! 2Bless the LORD O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, 3who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, 4who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, 5who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

All Creatures of Our God and King – #64
Ephesians 1:3-6 (DSV)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4For he chose us in him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5he predestined us to be adopted as his sons, through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.
