The text for this week is focused on 2nd Timothy 2:2 which teaches us to make disciples who make disciples. The worship theme is ‘Carry the Light,’ because disciples are called to bring the light of the Gospel to the world. The visual theme is fruit, because the hard working farmer receives the fruit of his labor.

Come All Christians, Be Committed
Matthew 4:18-20 While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. 19And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20Immediately they left their nets and followed him.
Matthew 16:24-26 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?
I Have Decided to Follow Jesus, Hymn 376, first 3 verses.
I Will Follow – Chris Tomlin
Matthew 9:36-38When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
2 Timothy 2:1-2 You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, 2and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
