Heart Prep for Sunday, March 1st, 2015

This week we will be hearing from Layo Leiva, the CRU missionary we support in Latin America. We’re not sure what the theme of his message will be, but it is a communion Sunday, so the theme of our worship will be, in Hannah’s words “beginning with the greatness of God, growing more towards our personal walk with Him/the cross and heading towards communion by the offertory. Then we will celebrate His salvation as our invitation to communion and following.”

Psalm 24:1-2, 7-10
1The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof,
the world and those who dwell therein,
2for He has founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the rivers.
7Lift up your heads, O gates!
And be lifted up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
8Who is this King of glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty,
the Lord, mighty in battle!
9Lift up your heads, O gates!
And lift them up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of glory! Selah

Sing to Jesus – Ortega

Not to Us – Tomlin

Psalm 115:1-3
1Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your name give glory,
for the sake of Your steadfast love and Your faithfulness!
2Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?”
3Our God is in the heavens; He does all that He pleases.

Ephesians 1:3-10
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5 He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of His glorious grace, with which He has blessed us in the Beloved. 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, 8 which He lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His purpose, which He set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth.
