(I don’t intend to completely neglect Heart Prep even while I’m on sabbatical. It makes a great Friday morning quiet time.) Our text this week is 1 Thessalonians 2:1-12, and Todd will be preaching about the ways Paul was involved in the lives of the Thessalonians as he brought the Gospel to them.
The Worship theme is focused on bringing the love of God to the lives of others.
Matthew 28:19-20 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
2 Corinthians 5:18-20 Everything is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed the message of reconciliation to us. 20Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, certain that God is appealing through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God.”
Acts 2:44-47 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
For Today – we don’t have a video of the David Jackson composition yet.
John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people, and we must be saved by it.”
John 3:36 The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who refuses to believe in the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.
