Heart Prep for Sunday, February 24th

The text for this week is Isaiah 30:8-24 and the focus is on quietly trusting God and resting on him even when life is frantic or stormy. The worship theme is really the same.

Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say We will do this faster, but this is kind of nice.

Sweet Hour of Prayer / Take Time to Be Holy

Anyone remember George Beverly Shea?
How about Andy Griffeth?

In the Secret

Isaiah 30:15, 18 For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.”

18Therefore the LORD waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.

I Will Wait on the Lord / I Am Ready

Psalm 130:5-8 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; 6my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning. 7O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption. 8And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

Be Still My Soul
Leigh Nash’s version is also fun!

House of God Forever – really beautiful non-lyric visuals.
