We had a brief but fun discussion of Special Events at the second Awana per-season meeting on Sunday, August 26th. We came up with titles and (by implication, mostly) themes for the six special events. We also know the dates for the remaining ‘not so special’ events. Below is a draft of the events calendar. Below that is a small form where you can sign up to lead one of the events. You can sign up as an individual or on behalf of a club. In either case you will need to recruit help for the event.

ICE CREAM NIGHT – September 30
All parents are invited to attend with their clubbers. At the end of the evening they can meet the club leaders at an Ice Cream Party We’ll provide the ice cream and leaders will bring their favorite toppings to share!
GO(AT) TEXAS – October 28
Come dressed as your favorite thing Texan – person, character, animal, place or thing!
Larry Martin and the Sparks will be organizing this event.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION – December 2

GRAND PRIX – February 2
Design your car for speed, style, or both and come race on this Saturday. Even parents can participate!
