We talked about various options for Council time. Based on this input Bob has decided to begin council time this year with a Gospel emphasis, probably focused on the book Sydney & Norman by Phil Vischer.
This will be followed by nine weeks of ‘The Fruit of the Spirit,’ focusing on stories and possibly songs, and including some plays or skits as well. This emphasis will allow Bob and the club leaders to directly address the issues of bullying, cliquishness and loss of discipline discussed above. Bob is working on a calendar for these council times and will make it available before the first Awana Meeting. Council time for the spring weeks has not yet been decided.
