Day 13: Loving
Is there any question a hero should be loving? Is there any question that God loves? That Jesus loves? In the course of our hero studies we’ve already looked at God’s love from many angles, because it often stands behind his other qualities, from courage to humility. Today we’ll look at a couple of the less well known passages on God’s love.
One of my favorite passages on the love of God is from Hosea, and doesn’t even contain the word love. Read Hosea 11:1-9. How does God reveal his love in this passage? What is the arc of his emotion in this passage? How does this make you feel?
One of Gail’s favorite concepts from Scripture is that we are God’s ‘treasured possession’ The basic meaning of this Hebrew noun is “personal property.” What do you learn about God’s attitude toward his ‘treasured possession’ in the following verses
