While the group is in Slovakia, I’m going to be blogging their daily devotions. I hope this will allow all of us to be thinking and praying some of the same things they are. Todd has prepared devotions for his half of the trip from Philippians.
Philippians 2:5-11.Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Whose responsibility is it to have the same attitude of Christ? What kind of attitude should we have? We should be a humble servant. What are some of Christ’s characteristics?
Verse 5-are we like Jesus? Are we willing to give our all for Him? Are we willing to die a horrible death on a cross for Him? Are we willing to empty ourselves for His sake? How much are you willing to do for Jesus?
All will bow before the King. How should this effect us now with our walk with Him and how we share the gospel?
“MAKE” your own attitude that of Christ Jesus today!
Extra for quiet time:
Read John 1:1-18, Jesus is God
Read Revelation 3:14-22, God is waiting for us!
What do you need to change in your life to be more like Jesus?
