Below is my first pass at planning the preaching for Fall 2011. I’m going to do all of the chapters about Elijah and most of the accounts of Elisha from 1st Kings and 2nd Kings. These accounts of the pivotal downhill slide of the kingdom of Israel also show God’s continued intervention in the lives of his people. This first pass does not yet try to include preaching ideas or worship themes; hopefully those will come soon. But the dates should be fairly solid.
