The next two sections of the Vision Study were available at church Sunday and will be available again this Sunday. We are also making them available as a PDF here.

The work day on September 19th was fantastic. I want to thank all of those who came out (and there were many) for all of the work done (and it was much). Special thanks to David Emerson for awesome preparation and coordination.

Some of you expressed interest in continuing the work on your own when you have time. That would be great! Contact David Emerson or me (Bob DeGray) if you need anything coordinated (or just to let us know).

Doug Breaux took some pictures and I wanted to share a few of them with you. Think of it as a walk around the walls, seeing who is working at each point.

L.I.F.E. Room: Rudy Balciunas and Mark Prewitt fit sheet rock for the new ceiling.

Bob's Office: Steven Yowell installs beautiful wood framing in Bob's window.

Hallway: David Emerson coordinated all the work.

Toward the end of the day Rita Balciunas, Allysa Jackson and Betty Murray painted a lot of what had been patched.

Mike Rueck (visiting friend / SIL missionary) and Doug Breaux checked all the emergency lighting so we can order new batteries.

2's & 3's Room: Jenna Martin and her children worked hard to clean and sanitize tables and chairs in the Sunday School wing.

Building Exterior: Tim Early works to replace wood on the sanctuary end of the Sunday School building. Tim also helped to coordinate a large group priming the exterior.

Auditorium Exterior: Keith McDaniel and David Graziosi wrestled with the light at the peak of the auditorium: and won! I don't know if you guys heard, but it's working.

Kitchen: Helen Shinpaugh and others thoroughly cleaned and de-junkified the kitchen.

Auditorium Ceiling: James Allen cleaned and/or replaced the (yucky) lenses for the big ceiling lights.

Pizza: No workday would be complete without pizza. This photo gives you some idea how many people were working.

This tour doesn’t come close to picturing all that was done – in the attic, on the walls, other ceilings, lots of painting, cleaning, organizing and throwing away. It was great. Thanks again to all who helped.

I’m thankful for the enthusiasm which I saw at the first week of the Trinity Vision Small Groups. I’m looking forward to doing this study together with others, and to the community of the small group experiences.

As I mentioned Sunday, we seem to have been a few booklets short of providing one for everybody involved in the study. We will print a few more for next week. In a recent fire code inspection we were told that we needed to get rid of all the deadbolts and put crash bars on all the doors marked ‘Exit’.  We had already started this process after Ike, and today we finished it.  The result is that your building key, if you have one, will not now work on any outside door.  Please contact Iva for a new key.
